I am sitting here in my wilderness setting, pausing, reflecting, and taking it all in. One thing that has been really pressing on my heart lately is how much money we waste trying to be healthy and well. I see it all the time, and I experienced it myself early on in my healing journey: chasing and wasting. I chased the next best protocol, the next best detox, the next best pill, and followed what everyone else was doing in hopes of improving. Did it serve me? No! I was wasting money trying to be healthy. It cost me a lot of money (more than it would have had I had a practitioner guiding me), set me back more than it moved me forward, caused a lot of overwhelm, caused my body to flare because it wasn’t dialed in to my specific needs, and caused my healing journey to be so much longer than it needed to be. During my healing journey, my medical debt caused us to have to sell our first homestead in Idaho (we nearly lost it). Healing isn’t cheap, but it doesn’t have to break the bank or force you to sell your home. Had I had an Integrative Health Practitioner leading the way for me during my healing journey, things would have been very different; but I didn’t have that person. Today, I am honored to be for other people what I didn’t have personally.
I live a very frugal, off-grid life, and like you, I value the hard-earned money we make and want to be a good steward. That said, I want to be very transparent and honest with you today and share the two things I have learned in my own healing journey and as an Integrative Health Practitioner.
I learned that I wasn’t serving my clients well. I struggled to put my packages together because of the higher dollar amount, so I kept doing one-off appointments to help people afford my services and embrace their healing. Healing can’t be accomplished in one appointment, my friends! Healing isn’t linear, and it requires effort on the client’s part and for me to create a clear pathway for their unique needs that leads them to the finish line. My fear of a higher-priced package was costing my clients more in the long run as we kept working together in more and more one-off appointments. Not only was it costing them more over time, it was also extending their healing journey. This greatly frustrates me as I type this; though today, my Renewed By Faith package is a hill I will die on! It lets me and my clients run a scan to get a clear picture of everything they have going on and gives us a clear pathway to follow. We work together for a minimum of 3 to 6 months, depending on their needs, meeting monthly and emailing or texting between visits. While they use a unique protocol, we work to balance them Spiritually, mentally, and emotionally so they can achieve physical healing. They are part of my weekly Equip Coaching and weekly group breathwork sessions during their package time, so I can continue to provide the support and encouragement they need to keep moving forward and nurture their nervous system out of fight-or-flight. Chronic health issues take a toll on the body and often cause disconnects between the brain and body, so we work on retraining the brain. Healing isn’t for wimps, and it takes the right people in their corner cheering them on. The second thing I see that goes hand in hand with what I just shared is that they put God in a box! They want to heal, they know they are already spending a TON of money on supplements and protocols with no luck, yet they are afraid to commit to a package that will get them where they want to go. Guys, our God is a big and miraculous God!
They keep God in a box in two different ways. First, they allow the fear of money to keep them chasing the next best… People don’t realize they can save so much money with a unique, clear plan, by staying devoted to their healing, and by working with someone who cares deeply about their goals and health. They can enjoy the process and achieve the healing they want much faster than if they keep shooting from the hip.
Second, they don’t allow God to lead or trust that He will provide for their needs. Our God is a big, big God, and He can work mighty miracles. The miracles of yesteryear are still happening today, and your situations are no exception to His miracles! What He leads us to, He will see us through. When we call Him into the center of everything in our lives and allow Him to lead, He will take us to amazing places.
